Guide
Spot a scam before it spots you
- Guaranteed or “risk-free” returns.
- A “coach” or “account manager” who contacted you first by message or social media.
- Countdown timers and offers that “end today”.
- Requests to pay in crypto or via unusual payment services.
- A slick dashboard that shows profits you cannot withdraw.
- New “fees” or “taxes” before a withdrawal.
If you have paid, contact your bank immediately, keep every message, file a police report and tell the AFM. The Fraudehelpdesk can also advise. Never pay extra to “recover” money: recovery offers are a frequent second scam.
